PUBG Corp. has formed a new studio which is working on a new, narrative game set within the PUBG universe.

Glen Schofield has joined PUBG Corp. to head up a new studio focusing on an “original narrative experience” set within the PUBG universe.

Schofield was the former vice president and GM at EA’s Dead Space studio Visceral Games and worked alongside Michael Condrey.

He and Condrey eventually left EA to form Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer Games, which was purchased by Activision. Schofield left Activision in late-2018 alongside Condrey who now heads up a new 2K Games studio.

The new studio headed up by Schofield, Striking Distance, is located in San Ramon, California and is currently hiring to help fill out the development team. Further information on the in-development title was not provided.
