2K Games is set to release the Mafia Trilogy in the future and will bring about remastered iterations of the first two installments in the series.
After a variety of teases have come about over the past few days on social media, 2K Games formally revealed today that a new package containing all three entries in the Mafia franchise is set to release in the future.
Appropriately titled the Mafia Trilogy, the bundle was revealed via a brief new teaser trailer on the game’s official Twitter account today. While Mafia III was already a current-generation title, we will now seemingly be getting remastered iterations of both Mafia and Mafia II, which launched in 2002 and 2010 respectively. A potential release window and listed platforms for the Mafia Trilogy wasn’t given alongside the announcement, but 2K Games is planning to unveil more next week on Tuesday, May 19 at 9:00am PST/12:00pm EST.

It’s also worth mentioning that this Mafia Trilogy bundle will surely contain all of the DLC for each title in the series, too. Mafia II boasted three different add-on content packages after launch, as did Mafia III. The series has been dormant since 2017 when the final DLC packs for Mafia III arrived, but clearly, 2K Games isn’t done with the franchise just yet.
There are still quite a few questions left to be answered about the Mafia Trilogy, but you would imagine everything about the bundle will be cleared up by next week. We’ll keep you up to date on this package as soon as Hangar 13 and 2K Games decide to reveal more.
