During the Guerrilla Collective, Larian Studios debuted a new, riveting gameplay trailer for the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3.
Coming from the minds behind the Divinity: Original Sin series, Larian Studios has made a name for themselves on crafting deep, rich RPGs that are focused on player choice and tough situations. Given their success with the Divinity series, it shows that the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 is in good hands, with new pre-alpha footage giving us a closer look at the anticipated RPG that will (hopefully) make its debut in a few months.
During the Guerrilla Collective showcase, developer Larian Studios debuted a new trailer for the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3, which gave us our best look yet at what the game will look like. While the trailer itself was brief and focused on cinematic moments, the new footage still gave us a better sense of how the studio is bringing the D&D-inspired world of Baldur’s Gate to life with some striking moments and in-game scenes.
In addition to the new trailer, Larian Studios also announced that early access for Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently planned to debut in August 2020, but with the caveat that it may be pushed back to development challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The studio also added that another livestream for the game will air next week on June 18, 2020 during the official D&D Live charity livestream, which will give another look at the game before it hits Early Access.
The demand for a new Baldur’s Gate has been a long time coming, and from what we’ve played of the game so far, Baldur’s Gate 3 already seems like it will be return to the series that fans have been waiting for.
