You do not use the subjuntivo structure in your sentences that start with Creo que.

Subjuntivo structure is used in sentences we start as no creo que.


Creo que hay un may be the problem, but;

No creo que hay un problem

No creo que HAYA your course

2 – Espero que effect:

Subjuntivo structure is used in sentences we start as Espero que.

creo que has leido mi carta : I think you read my letter

no creo que hayas leido mi carta : I don’t think you read my card

creo que me has entendido bien : I think you understood me well

espero que me hayas entendido bien : I hope you understood me well

Also, with this pattern, the following kinds of sentences can be established. Be careful, don’t be surprised when you see it.

el mejor libro que hayas leido : the most beautiful book you have read

la peor mentira que hayas escuchado : the worst lie you’ve ever heard

Cual es mejor juego que hayas jugado : what is the best game you played?

El imperfecto de subjuntivo

The conjugation is done by removing the “ron” suffix from the past verb 3 rd plural of the verb and using the following suffixes.

In compound sentences, if the lower (side) sentence requires subjuntivo
if the introduction (main) sentence is constructed with a past tense structure
the sub-sentence is established with subjuntivo de imperfecto.

Buscaban a alguien que supiera hablar francés.: They were looking for someone who could speak French.

No había nadie que conociera a Juan en Madrid. : There was no one in Madrid who knew Juan.

In compound sentences,

if the introduction (main) sentence was established with wide (present) time and

if past tense is to be specified in the lower (side) sentence

the sub-sentence is established with subjuntivo de imperfecto.

Está contento de que llegaras tan temprano. : (I’m so glad you came so early)

Me alegro que estudiaran tanto para la clase de hoy. : (I am happy that they have worked so hard in the classroom today.)

It is used to express impossible requests (desires).

Ojalá que no lloviera durante la primavera! : (Hopefully, it won’t rain all spring.)
