I’m a 41 year old Australian living in Melbourne. I am married to ‘V’ and together we have three boys (born in 2006, 2008 and 2011). I am a full time blogger making a living from the medium since 2004/5.

My Blogs (and new Podcast)

I’ve been blogging since November 2002 on a number of sites. I started out with a personal blog about Spirituality, Pop Culture, Life in Australia and miscellaneous topics that take my fancy from time to time. That site spawned a number of others including the three that I edit today:

And then there’s my podcast – the “That Work” – SLG Podcast (find it on iTunes here).

My Book

problogger book.jpgI’ve also co-authored a book about blogging – “That Work” – SLG the Book. This is a book that pulls together into one place a lot of the teaching that I’ve done on blogging. It is designed for the beginner to intermediate blogger who wants to take their blog to the next level and even earn a living from it. It was first published in 2008 but is now in its 3rd edition (with lots of freshly updated tips and techniques).

Also check out 31 Days to Build a Better Blog workbook – a practical month long challenge for bloggers wanting to take their blog to the next level. There are also some other “That Work” – SLG eBooks on a variety of aspects of blogging here.

Read My Story

I’ve just scratched the surface here – but I’ve written up an extended version of my story of becoming a full time blogger here which will hopefully fill in some of the gaps above.

If you have a few minutes you might also like to watch my keynote at the World Domination Summit in Portland in which I share my story:
