Rompope - Ponche crema

Basic ingredients:
  • 1 box of Flan or Custard (a box on 120g)
  • 2 cans of condensed milk (each can of 410g)
  • 1 cup of dark rum
  • 4 cups of milk (for the Flan)
  • 6 yolks eggs

  • Preparation:
    • Make the flan the day before and let it cool in refrigerator.
    • Put 3 yolks in the blender with 3/4 cup of rum and blend them for 3 minutes at high speed. Now add the condensed milk of a can and half of the flan, blend at medium speed for 2 minutes.
    • Pour the mixed in a bottle and refrigerate until very cold.
    • Serve the rompope or Ponche crema alone or with chopped ice. You can add a little cinnamon on top of each glass.
    • You also can add 1/3 cup blanched almonds and mix with the milk mixture.
